Furthering your qualifications from home
There are now plenty of options for those that want to further their education but either can’t leave home due to having no child care or their job is too demanding to take a college course. Many of these options are based online for ease of use or also there are some that are postal based and you can simply carry the work out at home and then send it off to a tutor that will then assess your work. Below is some more information on the various types of at home qualifications;
Would it suit you? There are obviously certain people that the learning from home process would be better suited here are some things to take into consideration if you are contemplating it as an option;
If you are highly self motivated then it would be a great option for you as that is exactly what you need to be able to complete on of these courses, this is because you don’t have the constant pushing of a tutor and because you can work at your own pace it can be very tempting to let your standards slide.
As well as the motivation you will need to discipline to stick to your personal deadlines this is because it is vital for you to stay to your deadlines if you are to complete the work when it is due. With many people they do want to work for the qualification but it is very easy for you to have the motivation but also, especially if you are working full time, you can get in from work and simply want to relax and the last thing you want to think about is studying.
Independence – This is probably the main factor in anyone that wants to study from home succeeding in doing so. Many 
people when working with a group feel pressured into complete and learn the work at the same pace as everybody else in their group but they may be able to complete the work at that pace but not actually understand fully, which can lead to much confusion later on in the course.
What courses are available? There are lots of different courses available now from Psychology to Law. It depends entirely on where your interests lie and where you see yourself career wise in the years to come, most course providers will have careers advisors that can aid you in deciding which course to take to get you where you want to be.
There are now as many different course providers as there are courses so making sure you choose correctly is very important as they all offer different levels of support, it is all entirely dependant on how you like to work and how much support you will need when studying.
