Either carrying out surveys yourself or even trying to get other people to take part in surveys are becoming popular 
jobs as the companies producing the surveys strive to try and find out exactly what their customers want. There is a certain process that should be followed when writing the questions out for or filling out a survey some of these different things include;
When creating a survey
When you are planning out a survey there are many different things you will need to consider such as who you are writing the survey for, what people is the survey to be aimed at and of course what information are you wishing to gain from the survey results. When writing out the questions you need to think about what answers you might receive do you want the answers to be a prompted yes or no or would you want the answers to be slightly more detailed. Of course when writing the questions you also need to think about how much time they will take to answer as most people no matter how nice they are aren’t going to want to stand around and answer a survey for hours. So when writing it out you need not only think about the information you want to gain from it but also the amount of time and how easy it will actually be to answer these different questions.
When you have the actual questions planned and written out you then need to consider how you will record these results. If you are recording yes and no answered questions then it is usually the easiest to draw up a tally chart, if the answers are more detailed then you may need to consider different methods of recording the out come. When revising the results you need to consider how accurate they are and you can do this by firstly looking at the number of people that 
filled in the survey, you should have a figure such as 50 or 100 as the guide and any numbers over that amount can then act to make the results more accurate.
When filling out a survey
As well as people being asked in the street or surveys being posted through your door there are now people that are paid to fill out surveys as their job. These companies are mainly based online and if you sign up with several companies it is possible for you to make money from just filling out surveys, however, if you were to just stay with one company they can not always guarantee you constant work. This is why many people doing this as a career take out contracts with several different companies to widen their chances of making a living out of the work.
