Direct sales via either face to face or telesales are still a firm favourite for many countries world wide this is 
because it has the most personal touch over internet shopping. Telesales has become increasingly popular because of its convenience and with over the phone purchases ever raising it adds a personal feel to the sale and also has a convenience for the customer as they need not go anywhere to purchase the product the company is offering. Here are some different examples of telemarketing opportunities available to those not able to leave their home for work, or with limited free time;
Many of these companies have various work patterns that can suit most peoples free time whether that just be in the evenings or if that be first thing in the morning. This type of shift pattern is excellent for parents with little or no child care when their child isn’t at school because they can have the ability to work around the times they don’t have their child.
There are of course certain requirements that you would require to carry out this kind of work and these include a variety of confidence, telephone manner and ability. The type of people that succeed in this line of work include people that are fairly confident, know how to perform the tasks expected of them easily and well and also have the ability to work independently as they will be required to resolve customer issues or have all the information the customer requires to hand or their knowledge on the services they offer should be extensive enough to answer any queries.
Dependant on the kind of company the person works for they may need to have specialist skills. For example if a person were to work from home for an IT company they would need to have enough knowledge in the subject to support and help with the customer’s queries. It wouldn’t be much use for the person to work from home and have to rely on others to resolve issues that customers are calling in with.
The type of work in which you would have to specialise would vary from company to company but of course you would have to have certain qualifications or skills to work at home, these would be decided by the employer when looking for a suitable candidate.
