As well as being able to speak to the customers clearly you would also have to have the patience and ability to be able to deal with any type of customer, with any kind of enquiry.
Confidence - As with any job where you are dealing with the public you will need to have a certain degree of confidence especially in the tone of your voice this is because if you don't sound confident in the product you are selling then the customer won't have confidence in it either and there fore won't want to purchase it. There are certain courses you can take in order to gain confidence over the phone if it is not the kind of job you are accustomed to, many
people that are originally nervous to speak over the phone to customers after taking these courses then go on to do extremely well in sales over the phone, and some times face to face just because they have the confidence they didn't have before.
Working at home - If you are working from home doing a telesales job then it can be a fairly easy option for those with little time for normal work. This is because you can usually work on a certain shift pattern that suits you, the only thing to make sure of is the fact that you have enough self discipline to actually carry the work out in your home environment. This is why it would be best to have a room separate from any others to act as your office. Your organisation in this office would have to be great so you have a clear space to work and to aid you it may be a thought to have a few set phrases stuck on the wall that help you with different scenarios where you may have a problem with a customer, similar to a script but not as set.
